About us

Hosts
Jürg & Marlies Martig

After 10 years at the Chamanna Cluozza in the Engadine, we have completed our "development work" and since last year we have been looking after the Blüemlisalphütte with heart and hopefully with understanding.

We are looking forward to another season with a great team and you as our guests.

Team 2024

Jürg

Jürg steams in all alleys, but only in those that suit him!
He would be delighted if he could get further away from the hut this summer than just to the compost, the water supply, the roof or the Hohtürli rock.

Marlies

The fairy godmother in the valley, in the background, at the hut or wherever there is a need. Thanks to her flexible employer (Puralpina) in the valley, Marlies can still get us the forgotten things every week, get the helicopter flights ready, keep the accounts up to date, dispose of the recycling and occasionally even support us at the hut.

Franziska

Frän, as she likes to be called, is also "on board" this year. She likes the hectic hut life too much, which she can decisively slow down with her inner calm and strict, flexible organisation.

Corina

From Thurgau to the wide world of the mountains. Corina was infected by the hut virus last year at the latest. After supporting us last summer, she made a flying transfer to the Lötschenpass hut, where she worked not only in the autumn season but also in the winter season. We are delighted that she is returning for the summer season. Like everyone in the world, Corina has a tick!

Ladina

We are also happy that Duracell-Ladina is staying with us this summer. She spent the spring season at the Täschhütte in Valais until mid-May. We don't believe that there are any other people in this world who can be as patient and friendly for as long as the woman from Prättigau.

Gordon

Our centrepiece in the kitchen this season, apart from the wood-fired oven, is certainly Gordon. After 7 years in the Florida sun, he moved back to Switzerland and especially to the mountains. We are looking forward to Gordon and his sporty cuisine, as he cooks for HC Davos during the winter season.

Petra

Thanks to Petra, you won't find any spelling mistakes or untidiness at the Blüemlisalphütte this summer. As an experienced teacher, these are certainly two core competences from her traditional profession, which she practises until the end of the school year in the canton of Lucerne.

Verena

Verena is responsible for our internationality. Not only because she comes from Germany, but also because Verena has picked olives, mixed drinks, done office work or simply enjoyed life almost everywhere in the world.

Ramona

Having grown up in Aargau and now living in Steffisburg, Ramona is fulfilling her dream of spending a summer in a mountain hut after training as a customer advisor at SBB and completing a degree in tourism. We are certainly not only happy to have Ramona in our team because of her talent for languages.

Marianne

From the retirement home to the hut. Of course, we don't hope to have too many days with nursing home care (1:1) this summer. But if this should happen, or if someone needs advice on camping holidays or ski tours, we have Marianne on the team.

Silvan

As a trained chef and now working on his Master's degree in Food, Nutrition and Health, Silvan supports us for 3 weeks during the main season. Born in Krattigen, he has several years of experience at the Geltenhütte mountain hut during his school days. In his free time, he enjoys travelling in the mountains and doing sports.
